The Hill Group begins construction of 380 new homes in Buckinghamshire

The Hill Group has started construction work on Little Chalfont Park, a new 380-home residential development in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire.

This milestone follows the recent approval of the first reserved matters application, covering the western parcel of the site accessed from Burtons Lane.

This first phase includes 74 new homes, extensive green spaces, infrastructure works and the start of construction of a pedestrian and cycle bridge providing direct access to Chalfont and Latimer station.

The homes in the first phase, with a development value of £78.5m, include a collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom houses for private sale and shared ownership.

Of the scheme’s 380 homes, 40% will be affordable housing. There will also be an additional 100 retirement homes and a 60-room care home, as well as a community centre, a convenience store and land secured for a new primary school.

All homes at Little Chalfont Park will incorporate air-source heat pumps, energy-efficient design and cycle storage.

Andy Hill OBE, founder and group chief executive of The Hill Group, said: “It’s fantastic to see work now underway at Little Chalfont Park, bringing to life our vision for a green, appealing community in one of Buckinghamshire’s most sought-after areas.

“This development will deliver high-specification homes set within beautiful open landscapes, with over half of the site dedicated to parkland, play areas and natural green space.

“We’re proud to be delivering not just new homes, but a thriving, sustainable neighbourhood that celebrates the landscape and enhances local biodiversity for generations to come.”

The first homes are expected to be available for sale from summer 2026, with first occupations in spring 2027.
